Cloud King, Rainmaker - these names give an idea of ​​what the special challenge of the eight-day hut trekking in the Ruwenzori Massif is all about. The constant rainfall is responsible for the mountain's unique flora and fauna, with lobelias reaching up to eight meters in height. Many other plants also reach record sizes. In addition, the most challenging summit goal on the African continent, the ascent of the glacier-covered Margherita Peak at 5,109 meters, also attracts. The trekking requires perseverance and endurance due to weather conditions and the condition of the paths, and the summit climb requires experience in ice and mixed terrain. If Margherita Peak is too demanding, on the following day you can alternatively climb the trekking peak of Weissmann Peak at 4,670 meters. In addition to the Ruwenzori Mountains, the mountain gorillas of Uganda are probably the country's biggest attraction.
